I had four conversations this week with various people and they all asked me what I’ve ordered on Amazon lately. When the first person asked me I just thought, ‘Oh well cool… they think I have good taste in Amazon products.’ When the second dudette asked, I thought ‘Seriously strange coincidence…’ but by the time I heard it a third time I was starting to wonder if it was some weird internet thing I hadn’t caught on to yet? Like, a strange challenge put out there by some celebrity? “Freak your friends out by asking them what they bought on Amazon this week!” Is this, like, a Jimmy Kimmel thing? Am I being filmed? Punk’d? Is Ashton Kutcher hiding around the corner? (Guys – is punk’d even a thing anymore?!)
When the final person asked me if I’d made any cool discoveries on Amazon lately, I decided it was definitely something. Some. Thing. Strange. In the neighborhood… and it’ ain’t my Amazon order, y’all! So welcome to my new weekly post. What I ordered on Amazon last week. Oh, it’s gonna get weird. Sometimes wacky. But, mostly… mundane. Here we go!
What is the deal with the socks… And. All. The. Disappearing. Where the H, E, double hockey sticks do they go?! I bought a pack of socks by this company last year and decided to take the plunge again this year since half of them have gone, wherever it is, all the socks go. They’re cozy and warm. If you too, have issues with disappearing socks, try these out.
This purchase hasn’t arrived yet, but if you’re that curious, I’ll update you next week. I discovered hats this year and my nice wool felt hat seems to have gone on a date with my socks because it, too, is missing. (How? Just how????) I had zero desire to spend another $50 bucks on one so I found a dupe on Amazon that I hope will be just as nice. I’ll let ya know. *Update on the hat. GREAT quality for the price! Loving it. See below. 🙂
In case you missed it, I did some insane meal prepping recently and went and fell all in love with the process and what it’s doing for my life. Having a month’s worth of crockpot meals in my freezer that are Paleo/Whole30 compliant has made the Whole30 so incredibly easy. It’s amazing. But when I started doing my research on freezer meals I kept seeing these freezer bag holders popping up. Of course, I immediately thought they were an unnecessary luxury and opted out. But after preparing 14 bags in 2 hours, I can see the serious benefit and decided to invest.
Dog food. Add this to the mundane column for this week. But if you have an older dog, we highly recommend this food. Ours loves it and it gave her more energy than her old food. She was perkier. In case you’re looking for that in your dog.
Arrowroot powder is the key ingredient in several paleo baked goods, so I stocked up because we were out. Then I promptly used it to make the Paleo Naan in my new favorite grain-free cookbook. Yes, yes, yes… I realize the Whole30 police are cringing right now because I just took part in SWYPO – if you don’t know, you don’t know. But I was about to go off the deep end and I figured a piece (or 3 – ugh) of Paleo Naan was better than ruining my Whole30. Do yourself a favor and grab up this book ASAP. I have her entire collection and everything is super tasty. Eat What You Love is the newest book, I linked it above. Shout out to my mama, Lori Kidder, for snagging me a copy for Christmas. Seriously, great book!
Last but not least, blue light blocking specs. I ran a poll on my Insta stories and it’s a serious tie as to whether you all think blue light is a real issue or a scam. I’m obviously of the “real issue” clan. As someone who has suffered from headaches, I’ve had times where I told my hubby I felt like all the computer screen time was making me sick. Like, I seriously felt sick from it and looking at a screen made me want to puke. It happens a few times a year, and I’ve done some research. I do believe blue light is a problem, and this is one of the best solutions currently out there. Bonus – I look like a nerd. In case you hadn’t heard, nerds are hot right now.
That wraps up the inaugural edition of “What I bought on Amazon Last Week.” What did you think? Did you buy anything fun or unique online last week? If so, drop me a comment. I want to hear about it!

I like this new idea. Now I know what you are actually buying on amazon.
